E’ così che si apre Hurt, uno dei pezzi che fanno parte dell’album The Downward Spiral dei nine inch nail. La canzone è bella, ma diventa stupenda nell’interpretazione di Johnny Cash, che con la sua voce
profonda e tormentata te la fa entrare sotto la pelle fin dal primo ascolto. Tra l’altro la cover è stata utilizzata recentemente anche per uno spot di una nota marca di abbigliamento sportivo.
Assolutamente da ascoltare.

Swagger

Calla, fino a pochi giorni fà questo nome non mi diceva niente, ma le cose cambiano, mutano ed ecco che anche adesso mentre scrivo sto ascoltando “Swagger”, uno dei pezzi che fanno parte del loro album “Collisions”.

Swagger è una di quelle canzoni che potrei ascoltare all’infinito senza mai annoiarmi, bella anche “It Dawned On Me”, per ascoltare questi due pezzi basta collegarsi al loro sito. Se il resto dell’album mantiene lo stesso livello avrò qualcosa da ascoltare in loop per giorni.

Mi piacciono, belle atmosfere, dei buoni riff, voce intrigante, e poi pur essendo degli States hanno comunque un pezzo di Italia dentro visto che il cantante-chitarrista chiamandosi Aurelio Valle mi sa che un po di sangue  italico nelle vene gli ci circola.

Peccato non poterli andare a vedere dal vivo, visto che oggi e domani sono in Italia, mi sa che mi accontenterò di spulciare la loro discografia, almeno per ora….
